BEFORE YOU DEPLOY

A few things
to know.

What is the DMZ Codex in-game overlay?

It is the Windows companion app for MW4 DMZ. Open the Codex over your game to consult the Hajin map and browse reference information while you play.

How is this different from the mobile app?

The Windows app provides the in-game overlay. The mobile companion installs from your browser and keeps the Codex on your phone or tablet. Choose the version that fits where you play.

Do I need to Alt-Tab to use the Codex?

The in-game overlay brings the Codex over your game, so you can check the map or look up information without switching to a browser. Close the overlay when you’re ready to carry on.

Do I need a phone, tablet or second monitor?

No. The Windows overlay keeps the Codex on the screen you already play on. A phone or tablet is optional if you prefer a separate companion screen.

Where does the download button take me?

It opens the app’s store listing, where you can review the current installation details and download the Windows app.

Can I use DMZ Codex on my phone or console?

You can use the website on your phone or install the mobile companion beside your game. The in-game overlay is for Windows PC.
