MW4 DMZ Toxic Intercept: encrypted drive and tanker walkthrough
Finish the computer defense before following the fuel and vehicle objectives.
Recover the encrypted drive, decrypt it at the assigned computer and defend the transfer. Request fuel at the marked UAV tower, hijack the marked tanker and deliver it to the objective. Follow your current tracker if your run differs.
- Dynamic Op with a reported drive-to-tanker route
- Use the operation-marked tower and vehicle
- A separate post-bomb-defense failure was addressed October 21
Use the marked truck, not the first tanker you find. Toxic Intercept has a reported route from an encrypted drive to a vehicle delivery. Start by matching that sequence to the objectives on your screen.
Drive recovery and decryption
The drive-to-tanker sequence below comes from community reports completed run. Match it to the objectives in your deployment; named locations from one run are not fixed spawns.
| Stage | Your action | Completion check |
|---|---|---|
| Encrypted drive | Open the marked hidden cache and take the drive | The computer objective appears |
| Enemy computer | Start decryption at the assigned terminal | The defense begins |
| Defense | Hold the transfer area | Wait for the next objective |
| Fuel | Use Request a Fuel Resupply at the marked UAV tower | The vehicle target is identified |
| Hijack | Take the marked tanker | Delivery becomes the current task |
| Delivery | Bring the tanker to the assigned destination | Check the arrival interaction and completion banner |
Before travelling away from a search point, check that you actually took the mission item. Reaching the cache or opening its menu is not the same check as confirming the next objective.
At the computer, look for cover and a route back to the terminal before starting. Keep enough ammunition for the defense, and watch the tracker rather than assuming that interacting with the computer finished the transfer.
Fuel request and tanker delivery
Use the tower selected by the operation, then read the next vehicle objective. A generic tower or parked truck can be useful elsewhere without being the object this step asks for.
Before driving, inspect road access, remaining time and your supplies. Keep a reserve for the delivery and your own extraction.
The delivery destination is an objective location, not necessarily your own extraction. Check the result before deciding whether to continue looting or leave the match.
If your tracker says Defend the Bomb
That wording is mentioned in Infinity Ward’s October 21 fix note. The reported failure after that objective was addressed. It is a different reference from the computer-and-tanker route above; do not force a truck walkthrough onto a different active objective.
Update the game first. If the operation still fails, record the exact objective, platform and what happened immediately before failure. Those details are more useful for a correction than assuming an old bug is still the universal explanation. Our launch-fix summary separates dated fixes from current troubleshooting.
Plan around the current markers
Use the reference map for roads and nearby services. Check the live Tac-Map for active objectives. The Dynamic Ops hub covers field phones, while the exfil guide helps you leave with carried loot after the job.
Quick questions
Does every Toxic Intercept run use the same cache and tanker location?
A permanent route is not established here. Follow the mission markers and your current objective names.
Was Toxic Intercept’s Defend the Bomb failure fixed?
Infinity Ward lists that failure as addressed October 21. That historical note does not establish that every current failure has the same cause.
