Check your in-game Tac-Map for radiation and watch the storm timer. Reactor entry requires Radiation Gear and a Gas Mask; search Fire Stations for protective gear. Our radiation pins are reference points, so check conditions in your current deployment.

What the radiation markers mean
The four radiation pins on our Hajin map are community-recorded reference positions. They do not outline the contaminated area or display live match conditions. A pin alone does not establish when radiation appears, how long it lasts or whether a boss or reward will be there.
Use your in-game Tac-Map to judge the current situation. Keep these two hazards in mind:
| Hazard | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Radiation storm | Spreading radiation and the HUD’s Time Remaining indicator, which signals when the storm intensifies |
| Haneul Nuclear Reactor | Concentrated contamination around the complex, with more severe exposure inside |
What protection to bring
| Equipment | How to prepare |
|---|---|
| Radiation Gear / Hazmat Suit | Legendary protective clothing required for reactor entry. Search Fire Stations for it. The suit is discarded on exfil. |
| Gas Mask | Bring it alongside Radiation Gear for the reactor. |
| Radiation Blockers | Community item descriptions report reduced radiation penalties for 60 seconds. Check your item’s current tooltip before relying on that duration. |
Treat Blockers as temporary support. The reactor’s stated protection requirements still apply. If you have its recipe, check the Radiation Blockers recipe for crafting requirements.
Before entering a contaminated area
- Check the current match. Review the Tac-Map and storm timer before committing to a route.
- Prepare protection first. For a reactor trip, equip both required items before approaching the complex.
- Choose your way out. Identify an active exfil and an alternative route. Leave time for travel and the extraction itself.
- Keep a recovery option. Carry suitable healing supplies and turn back if your protection or supplies are running low.
A static map marker cannot tell you that an exit is currently usable. Follow the active extraction information in your deployment as conditions worsen.
Approaching the reactor
The official area briefing identifies possible water access and a tunnel from Compound Delta to the southwest. It also identifies a breach extending across Reactor 02. Treat these as approach options to assess, with protection prepared before entry.
Check the reactor location page for area information and the exfil guide when planning your return.
Quick questions
What does a radiation marker on the map tell me?
It identifies a community-recorded reference point. The pin does not show the affected area's boundary, current radiation or activation time. Check your in-game Tac-Map.
What protection do I need at the reactor?
The official Hajin guide requires protective apparel and a gas mask at the reactor. Prepare both Radiation Gear and a Gas Mask before entry.
Where should I look for Radiation Gear?
Search Fire Stations. Finding protective gear is not guaranteed on each visit.
