MW4 DMZ Sky Heist: pilot key and heavy helicopter walkthrough

Check the intel variant first and the flight timer before taking off.

In short

Complete the assigned intel stages, eliminate the marked pilot and collect the helicopter key. Unlock the marked heavy helicopter and follow the timed exfil objective. The intel opening varies in reported runs; the pilot key is a mission item.

  • Intel containers and preliminary stages can vary
  • Use the pilot key on the operation-marked helicopter
  • Plan around the active flight timer

The pilot key belongs to the operation’s marked helicopter. Sky Heist combines an intel chain with a timed heavy-helicopter objective. Finish the active opening before travelling to a landing position from somebody else’s recording.

Identify your intel route

The reported completed runs include container searches and a power/terminal opening. A separate firsthand report also documents a safe followed by a SAM objective.

What your tracker asks forFollow-through
Safe, locker or cache intelOpen the assigned container and take the mission item
Power and terminal stagesFinish the current repair/power interaction, then collect the requested intel
A SAM stageComplete that assigned step before moving to the pilot hunt

Use the current waypoints. Seeing a different container or preliminary stage is not enough to conclude that your operation is bugged.

Get the key and reach the marked helicopter

After the pilot objective appears, locate and eliminate the marked target, take the dropped mission key and travel to the indicated landing position. Complete the helicopter’s unlock interaction before attempting the flight.

The record does not establish a reusable stash key or a way to unlock every helicopter on Hajin. Check the operation name and marker if an unrelated aircraft offers no matching prompt.

Follow the flight objective

Read the timer and destination before takeoff. Choose a direct route and discuss the next action with squadmates while you still have time to check equipment.

The completed reporting describes leaving with the helicopter or jumping out to continue the deployment. Before considering that second option, inspect your parachute and the current objective. Gear found aboard in one run is not proof that your Operator has it equipped. Use the parachute guide for preparation.

Wait for the operation’s result. If you remain in the match, plan how to leave with carried loot using the exfil guide.

Avoid the wrong unlock assumption

Flying a mission helicopter and unlocking future helicopter infils are different goals. The Grid Assault walkthrough covers the documented Heli deployment unlock; vehicles explains later infil choices and costs.

Quick questions

Can I keep the pilot key for unrelated helicopters?

Persistent stash use and compatibility with unrelated helicopters are unverified. Use it for the marked Sky Heist objective.

Should I jump out of the Sky Heist helicopter?

Check your objective and each player’s parachute first. Do not assume the gear shown in another run is equipped on your Operator.
