MW4 DMZ radar-truck repair: parts and Mechanic walkthrough
Inspect the missing slots first, then collect only the parts you need.
Inspect the front of a damaged radar truck. Original guides identify Car Battery, Alternator, Spark Plug and Vehicle Water Pump slots. Supply the missing compatible parts, finish the repair and wait for radar pings before taking Mechanic’s required kills.
- Four reported repair components
- Inspect installed parts before searching
- Mechanic requires 19 radar-pinged enemy kills
The Repair a Truck Side Op and Mechanic Order have different finish lines: repair the vehicle first, then use its radar for the Order’s kills.
Inspect the front repair interface
Locate an active damaged radar truck through your live map or nearby activity callout. Interact at its front and check which slots are missing. Some trucks already contain installed parts, so do not assume you must find four new items every time.
| Reported component | What to check |
|---|---|
| Car Battery | Match the repair slot and carry a compatible battery |
| Alternator | Match the generic part shown by the repair UI; Tank Alternator is not a verified substitute |
| Spark Plug | Check garages and gas-station shelves; availability varies |
| Vehicle Water Pump | Match the slot’s named part; Tank Water Pump substitution is unverified |
Collect and fit the missing parts
Search gas stations and garages near your route. The original creators found different components at different stations, so one stop may not supply everything.
The demonstrated interface allows installed parts to be removed. A creator moves parts from one damaged truck to another when a station lacks the remaining component. Check the receiving truck before transferring parts and keep enough inventory space. No required installation order or guaranteed station spawn is established.
Once all missing slots are filled, finish the repair and check the Side Op result.
Complete Mechanic’s radar kills
Drive the working radar truck near enemies and wait for its radar to ping them before taking the kill. Check the separate 19 pinged enemies counter after each fight; repairing the vehicle alone does not finish Mechanic.
Leave opponents available nearby while preparing the truck, but use cover and keep an exit route. If time runs short, prioritize your extraction rather than assuming the same truck will remain available in another match.
Check the reward scope
Mechanic shares its reported page reward with Fire Insurance and Quiet: 20,000 Cash, two CPU, two Nylon Cloth and an Inflatable Decoy. That is one page-completion bundle, separate from any Side Op payout.
Quick questions
Which parts repair the radar truck?
Original guides identify Car Battery, Alternator, Spark Plug and Vehicle Water Pump. Inspect your truck because some slots may already be filled.
Can Tank Alternator or Tank Water Pump substitute?
Those exact substitutions have not been verified. Match the named component to the repair slot.
