MW4 DMZ Door Breacher Charge: how to get and use it
One charge can replace a missing room key on a supported door. Choose the door before spending it.
A Door Breacher Charge is a single-use tool for breaching locked doors. DMZ Level 62 awards a finished charge; crafting more requires a separate found recipe. Original gameplay shows a breach at the bunker the creator identifies as the Chemist’s Secure Armory. That demonstration does not establish compatibility with every mission gate, keypad or locker.
- Level 62 reward: one finished charge
- Crafting requires its own found recipe
- Observed use: reactor bunker armory
- Check the breach prompt before committing
Bring the Door Breacher Charge for a particular locked room, not a promise of unlimited access. It gives you another way to approach a supported door when you lack its named key. Its value depends on reaching that door, surviving the interaction and extracting with something useful.
How to get a Door Breacher Charge
The clearest progression source is DMZ Level 62, which awards the finished consumable. Check your level rewards and inventory before planning the run. A reward item and a reusable recipe are different unlocks.
To manufacture replacements, find the recipe in game and extract with it, then check the Door Breacher Charge recipe at the FOB. No fixed recipe pickup is verified here. A creator opening one room with a charge is not evidence that the recipe spawns inside that room.
The Vendor may offer equipment you cannot yet print. Check its current stock through the Vendor guide; do not rely on a particular item being available every day.
Door Breacher Charge recipe and material cost
The community-recorded Printer bill matches the current recipe catalog:
| Ingredient | Per charge | Check before spending |
|---|---|---|
| Experimental Compounds | 1 | A scarce input also used in advanced armor |
| Stock Rod | 5 | Compare with any weapon-Stash upgrade you are saving toward |
| Volatile Explosives | 3 | Count finished ingredients, not basic Chemicals or Metals |
The recipe unlock and these ingredients are both required. Having the materials does not make a locked recipe printable. Check the live card before crafting, especially when another guide gives a much cheaper bill. Use the crafting planner to compare shared inputs across your planned recipes.
How to use the charge at a locked door
- Choose the destination first. Use the Key Finder to identify the room and its normal entrance. A key’s area marker is not necessarily a surveyed door position.
- Move the charge into your deployment inventory. At Ready Up, confirm that the selected Operator is carrying it; an item left in the Stash cannot help at the door.
- Clear the immediate approach. Heal and reload before starting the interaction. If you are in a squad, have someone watch the corridor or outside approach.
- Inspect the actual lock. Read the room name and available interaction. Use the displayed breach action when offered; platform controls can differ. A missing prompt is a reason to recheck the door, not proof that a keypad or mission gate can be forced.
- Finish the placement and move clear. The recorded sequence places a charge against the door before the entrance opens. Let the animation finish and check the room before rushing inside.
- Loot for your goal, then reassess extraction. Budget the charge as consumed. Do not plan a second room around keeping it after use.
Recorded example: the Chemist’s reactor bunker
Incredilags’ original run shows inventory inspection, charge placement on white bunker doors and the opened entrance at approximately 7:03–7:15. The creator identifies the destination as the Chemist’s Secure Armory. This is a demonstrated use, rather than a complete door-compatibility test.
The room is at Haneul Nuclear Reactor. Prepare the protection described in the radiation and Gas Mask guide. A charge solves a supported lock; it does not protect you from radiation, defenders or another squad.
When to keep the named key instead
If you already own the correct key, compare that planned use with the cost of replacing a charge. Save the Breacher for a room you can reach and have a reason to open. Do not spend scarce ingredients simply because a video calls it a Skeleton Key.
Compatibility with every keyed door, DRC locker, keypad and mission-gated entrance is not established here. Claims of unlimited reuse are not the intended single-use behavior and are not a dependable basis for a route. For a cheaper search without a locked room, compare the Recipe and Weapon Manual routes.
Quick questions
Is the Door Breacher Charge a Skeleton Key in MW4 DMZ?
Players use Skeleton Key as shorthand for its role. The item is named Door Breacher Charge and is described as single-use; the observed breach does not prove it opens every lock.
Does Level 62 unlock the Door Breacher Charge recipe?
No. The level reward is a finished Ultra consumable. Its reusable Printer recipe must be found separately.
Where is the guaranteed Door Breacher Charge recipe spawn?
No guaranteed recipe pickup is verified here. Check the current Printer requirement and extract with a recipe if you find one.
Can a charge replace an armory code or mission objective?
That is not established. Use the interaction shown on the actual door and follow the mission tracker; do not assume a successful room breach completes a separate code or objective requirement.
