MW4 DMZ Weapon Blueprints: free copies, losses and replacements
Plan for the replacement price before taking a Blueprint build into Hajin.
Jump to a section
An owned Weapon Blueprint has one free instance available through the DMZ Gunsmith. Losing that instance does not grant another free copy: you can buy the same Blueprint again with DMZ Cash at a discount compared with building its equivalent. A Blueprint is separate from a Weapon Manual unlock.
- First owned instance is free once
- Lost instances are not automatically replaced
- Later copies cost DMZ Cash
- Discount compared with an equivalent build
Use the first copy at the Gunsmith
Visit the Gunsmith and check the Blueprints you own. The official FOB guide describes one free instance of an acquired Blueprint. Before deploying, check that the intended weapon is actually in your loadout.
| Your situation | What to expect |
|---|---|
| First use of an owned Blueprint | One free instance |
| You lose that weapon during deployment | That physical instance is lost |
| You want the same Blueprint build again | Buy another with DMZ Cash at the Gunsmith |
| You compare it with building the same weapon | The Blueprint repurchase is discounted |
There is no verified universal discount percentage here. Compare the price displayed in your own Gunsmith before committing cash.
Blueprint, Manual or looted gun?
A Blueprint supplies a ready-made build. A Weapon Manual provides a purchase unlock through extraction. A looted weapon is the physical gun you brought home. These are different things to look for in your inventory and Gunsmith.
For searching and extracting Manuals, use the Weapon Manual guide. For attachment slots, prices and building a gun yourself, use the Gunsmith guide.
Check your build before paying
The Inner Circuit M4 example uses the 11.5-inch Shortline Barrel, FTAC Dominion, FSS Fireline Grip, SZ Prima-4 Dot and ZLR ASP50 Stock. Its illustrated parts make it a useful comparison with an individually assembled M4.

Choose a replacement you can afford to lose. If the same cash is needed for Operator recovery or essential healing, compare those needs before rebuying the build.
Protect the next deployment
Leave spare weapons at the Stash, review any weapon insurance you intend to use, and confirm your extraction plan. Owning a Blueprint does not automatically insure every instance you take into a match.
Quick questions
Do I permanently lose an owned Blueprint if I die?
You lose that weapon instance. The official guide says an owned Blueprint can be bought again at the Gunsmith with DMZ Cash at a discount.
Are replacement Blueprint weapons free?
No. The first owned instance is free once; subsequent copies use DMZ Cash. No universal discount percentage is established here.
