MW4 DMZ Domino Protocol: HVT intel and Lieutenant walkthrough
The intel pickup after each HVT is what moves the hunt forward.
In the documented Domino Protocol route, eliminate two marked HVTs and collect their intel. Follow the resulting Lieutenant marker and defeat the target. Check the completion banner; two HVT kills alone do not finish that route.
- Collect intel after each marked target
- The reported chain ends with a Lieutenant
- Target areas and the final Lieutenant can vary
Look for the intel after every marked kill. Domino Protocol is a linked hunt, with each completed stage pointing to the next target. A body left unsearched can leave you without the next objective update.
Follow the reported target chain
community reports completed run documents two HVT/intel rounds followed by a Lieutenant. Treat this as a player-reported sequence and match it to the current operation panel.
| Stage | Completion check |
|---|---|
| First HVT | Eliminate the marked target and collect its Classified Documents |
| Second HVT | Follow the new waypoint, eliminate that target and collect the next intel |
| Lieutenant | Travel to the resulting hunt marker and defeat the assigned target |
| Result | Wait for the operation-completion message before moving to another activity |
The source reports different locations and final targets across runs. A prison screenshot does not make that building a permanent destination, and a named Lieutenant from one report is not a universal assignment.
Prepare before following the Lieutenant marker
Review the new destination, your ammunition and healing before driving into the final area. Do not judge the whole operation’s difficulty by the first target’s surroundings.
In a squad, agree who will collect the intel and call the next waypoint. After a fight, check the objective before everyone leaves in different directions. If the marker seems unchanged, confirm the pickup and operation name before deciding the game has failed to progress.
Use the boss guide for Lieutenant preparation and the distinction between Boss Board information and operation objectives.
Keep the rewards separate
Read the completion result and your after-action report rather than planning around one quoted cash or XP number. A Lieutenant-related reward, carried Dog Tag and Dynamic Op result can be separate systems. See the Cash guide before counting the same displayed reward twice.
Leave enough time to extract carried loot after the hunt. If your resources no longer support the next stage, make the exit decision before entering another defended area.
Use reference locations to plan travel; your live marker determines which HVTs and Lieutenant belong to this deployment.
Quick questions
Why did the second HVT not finish Domino Protocol?
The documented route continues to a Lieutenant. Collect the intel and follow the next objective marker.
Is the final target always the Warden?
A fixed Lieutenant is not established. Source runs report different final destinations, so use the target named by your own operation.
