MW4 DMZ Grid Assault walkthrough: code segments and Heli unlock
Follow the code through Hanex Bank and DBN Headquarters, then finish the broadcast.

Find drone control at DBN Headquarters, recover the two code segments, compile the code and upload it. Complete Broadcast the Kill Code and wait for Mission Complete. Grid Assault unlocks Heli infil; later helicopter deployments cost 50,000 DMZ Cash.

Begin with drone control
Choose Operation Grid Assault at Deploy. Follow the mission into The Grid and locate the drone control at DBN Headquarters.
Use the current objective marker as your navigation reference. If you are with a squad, keep one player watching the tracker while another covers the interaction area.
Recover both code segments
- Follow Recover the First Code Segment. The recorded route visits Hanex Bank for this part.
- Finish the marked interaction and check that the tracker advances.
- Follow Recover the Second Code Segment, returning to DBN Headquarters in the recorded route.
- Confirm both segments are recovered before following the compile objective.
This is a two-part recovery sequence. Finding the drone control does not complete it, and the first segment does not replace the second. If the compile interaction is not yet available, check which recovery objective remains.
Compile, upload and broadcast
After both segments, follow Compile the Code. Complete that stage, then continue to the upload marker at DBN Headquarters.
Uploading is followed by Broadcast the Kill Code. Finish the marked interaction and wait for the Mission Complete banner before leaving. The completed gameplay run shows that banner after broadcasting, before the squad later departs.
Mission completion and extracting your carried loot remain separate concerns. Once the mission is complete, use the exfil guide to plan your departure.
Use the helicopter unlock
Completion unlocks Heli deployment. Its listed 50,000 DMZ Cash per infil is charged for a later helicopter deployment; unlocking it does not make each flight free. See the vehicles guide for the other infil options.
The mission reward menu separately lists 25,000 DMZ Cash. Roze’s High-Rise Armory key is a community-reported reward. Check the post-mission result and your Bank rather than treating the menu’s listed cash as a verified net payout.
