MW4 DMZ Orders walkthrough: every known chapter and task

Orders are DMZ's guided path. Here is every known task, chapter by chapter, with tips to finish each one.

Pre-launch guide. Written from official info released before early access. We update it as the game goes live.

In short

DMZ Orders are your guided missions, grouped into chapters and pages. Finish every Order on a page, then exfil, and a Caller gives you the next page at the FOB. Three chapters are known so far: Counterfeit, Underground and Human Intel. Finishing all three unlocks Boss Board intel on the Lieutenant Bale.

  • 3 known chapters: Counterfeit, Underground, Human Intel
  • Next page arrives after a successful exfil
  • Each page pays key items plus XP
  • Boss Board opens after your 2nd Order

DMZ Orders are your guided missions. They teach you Hajin, point you to good loot, and pay key items on top of the XP for each task. You manage them at the DMZ Orders station in the FOB.

How Orders work

  • Orders are grouped into chapters, and each chapter into pages of tasks.
  • Finish a page, then exfil. A new or returning Caller contacts you at the FOB with the next page.
  • At key moments you choose which chapter to do next.
  • Your 2nd completed Order opens the Boss Board.

Three chapters are known before launch. All the tasks below come from page 2 of part 1 of each chapter.

Counterfeit (part 1/2, page 2)

Given by Caliber. Page reward: a Recon Drone Recipe.

1. Hostile Force

  • Find and enter a Police Station.
  • Search 3 containers inside it.
  • Eliminate 5 soldiers while inside it.

Tip: Police Stations are the blue buildings, and they hold military gear, so this one pays off twice.

2. Robbery

  • Open a safe.
  • Extract with at least 5,000 total backpack and loadout value.

Tip: the exfil counts, so play it safe on the way out. The exfil guide helps.

3. Execute Intel

  • Hack a UAV Tower in Deadtown.
  • Kill 5 North Korean soldiers pinged by the tower.
  • Loot the counterfeit cash they drop.

Tip: UAV Towers reveal nearby enemies and players. Hack it, then hunt the pinged soldiers fast.

Underground (part 1/2, page 2)

1. Eye in the Sky

Tasks not shown yet.

2. Joyride

Tasks not shown yet.

3. Transmitter order

Tip: Songdo Wharf is a Low-threat area, but rooftops are exposed. Check for other squads first.

Human Intel (part 1/2, page 2)

1. Hunter

  • Find and climb a Lieutenant Hunt Tower.
  • Use the terminal at the top to find the nearest Lieutenant.

Tip: Lieutenant Hunt towers have a laptop on top of a comms tower. The LT Hunter trait gives extra intel when you use one.

2. Triage Protocol

  • Head to a Clinic.
  • Loot a Bandage.
  • Loot 30 Chemicals.

Tip: Clinics are green buildings full of medical supplies. Chemicals also come from breaking down normal loot.

3. No One Left

  • Clear a Compound.
  • Loot the Medical Extraction Intel dropped there.

Tip: Compounds are fortified military positions with improved loot and intel. Bring armor.

What Orders lead to

Finish the Underground, Counterfeit and Human Intel chapters to unlock Boss Board intel on Bale, a Spetsnaz-trained Lieutenant worth 10,000 DMZ Cash on the board. See the boss guide.

Orders are separate from Story Missions, and you can work on both.

Quick questions

How do I get the next page of DMZ Orders?

Complete every Order on your current page, then exfil successfully. A new or returning Caller contacts you in the FOB with the next page.

Can I choose which chapter to do?

Yes. At key moments in the Orders you choose which chapter to take on next.

What do DMZ Orders reward?

Every task pays XP plus key items, and each page has its own reward, like the Recon Drone Recipe from the Counterfeit page. Your 2nd completed Order opens the Boss Board, and finishing the Underground, Counterfeit and Human Intel chapters unlocks Boss Board intel on Bale.
