MW4 DMZ Dynamic Ops and Side Ops: every known operation

Dynamic Ops pay cash and better Supply Drops. Side Ops give materials and intel. Every known operation, and how to run each one.

Pre-launch guide. Written from official info released before early access. We update it as the game goes live.

In short

Dynamic Operations are bigger jobs that pay DMZ Cash and XP, and every one you finish in the same deployment drops a Supply Drop of rising rarity, from Common to Uncommon to Rare. Side Ops are smaller, lower-intensity tasks, like capturing a SAM Site or hacking a UAV Tower, that give materials and intel, including Lieutenant locations.

  • Dynamic Ops: cash, XP and Supply Drops
  • Supply Drops rise in rarity with each Op in a run
  • Side Ops: materials and intel, incl. Lieutenant locations
  • Start Ops at the Deploy station or a Dynamic Ops phone

Beyond Story Missions and Orders, Hajin is full of operations: quick jobs you can pick up for cash, loot and intel.

Supply Drops get better

A completed Dynamic Operation also puts 10,000 to 20,000 DMZ Cash straight into your Bank, as shown in official footage. Every Dynamic Operation you complete in the same deployment drops a Supply Drop of higher rarity: Common, then Uncommon, then Rare. The contents vary. Chaining Ops in one run pays more than doing one and leaving (Dynamic Operation Supply Drops).

Dynamic Operations

Chemical Denial

Objective: investigate a power outage. Seen at: the Tank Depot and the Chang-san Air Base Bunker, an Extreme zone. In official footage this Op led to a fight with the Lieutenant Bale.

Hunt Operators

Objective: eliminate the target Operator. The target is a full squad of rival players. Pairs well with the bounty system.

Other known operations

These were seen in official material, but their type isn’t confirmed yet:

Tips

  • Capture SAM Sites before flying. A captured battery is your answer to the Deathstalker drone.
  • Use UAV Towers early. They show you who is nearby before you commit. The Overwatch trait makes your towers never expire, and Air Superiority makes towers and SAM Sites last longer.
  • Ops raise your threat. Loud fights bring reinforcements. See the threat level guide.

All operations are in the operations list.
