MW4 DMZ parachutes: disposable, reusable and how to prepare

Check before you jump

Open your loadout and inspect the Parachute slot. Do this before climbing a tower, choosing a rooftop position or preparing an airborne route. A parachute is a piece of equipment to plan around, rather than an escape you should assume is available.

If the slot is empty, use the stairs or ladder back down. Do not test a missing chute with a jump.

Disposable versus reusable

Infinity Ward says both versions can be found and crafted. That does not establish a guaranteed spawn, an exact drop rate or identical glide performance. Infinite use describes reuse, not protection from losing equipment during a failed run.

Crafting and the Level 55 unlock

The official progression table lists the Disposable Parachute recipe at DMZ Level 55. It is a recipe unlock, not a promise of a free parachute on every deployment.

Disposable recipe costs conflict between sources. Check your current Printer panel before spending ingredients; the linked recipe retains the differing reports. The reusable Parachute recipe is separately community-listed and requires finding its recipe in game. Do not apply the Level 55 unlock to both versions.

Plan the way down

Before taking high ground, decide whether your exit uses a parachute, stairs, a ladder or a vehicle. If a limited-use chute is no longer available, choose a ground route instead of repeating the same rooftop rotation.
