Threat escalation

Player activity can trigger stronger enemy reinforcements.

Good to know

  • Stealth is not binary; once compromised, killing AI raises a 1-5 star level. 1 star brings reinforcements; 5 stars sends Deathstalkers, hunt squads and riot-shield soldiers. Disengaging (e.g. into the woods) lets it calm down.
  • Each area's Threat level shows under the compass when you enter it. Human Operators are not counted in it. Stealth kills with melee, throwing knives or suppressed weapons help you move through high-threat areas unnoticed.
