Roze boss guide: DBN rooftop approach, cover and escape

DBN Headquarters hunt differs from the Netshin armory · Upper levels can leave downed players exposed · Inspect actual rifle and tag pickups

In short

Prepare a way back inside before stepping onto DBN’s exposed upper levels. Reaching Roze, surviving the guards and returning with the reward are three different jobs. The useful route depends on the encounter currently marked in your deployment, not on the location of her separate armory key.

Set the target before deploying

Hunt decisionCheck before committing
A chosen LieutenantRead the Boss Board card, unlock and purchase its intel if available; do not invent a chapter requirement
A tower huntIt identifies the nearest active Lieutenant, which may be a different target
The resultConfirm the kill, inspect the actual tag and complete the extraction you need; other squads can hunt the same target

DBN Headquarters is an Extreme-threat encounter area in the inspected footage. Bring plates, healing and ammunition, and use an optic whose view you can handle at the Firing Range. A more expensive rifle does not remove the need for cover or a retreat.

Distinguish the hunt from Grid Assault

The inspected upper-level fight shows Paid Intel: Kill Roze while a separate Ghost Shipment activity remains on the HUD. A nearby downed player needs help beside an exposed doorway. Later frames show a body on rooftop stairs and an Astaroth .57 pickup label. These observations establish one encounter, not a fixed layout for every Story Mission.

For Grid Assault, Roze is part of a mission sequence involving code segments and a broadcast. Follow that walkthrough for mission completion. An ordinary hunt does not award the full mission reward just because it uses the same Lieutenant.

Reach cover before starting the roof fight

The reported rooftop approach follows the emergency stairwell marked by red emergency arrows. Clear guards while climbing and preserve a way down. On the stepped terraces, substantial HVAC units and overhangs are reported cover; thin rails are not dependable protection.

Pause before crossing the last doorway. Identify the target, another piece of cover and the position you will use to reload. An arrival marker completing is not permission to sprint over the roof. If your active target leads to a different interior, follow that context rather than force this terrace route.

Fight without turning a down into a squad wipe

Use short firing opportunities and move back out of sight to reload or plate. Clear guards threatening the route between positions instead of staring only at the Lieutenant’s health bar. A side angle is useful only if you can reach and leave it without crossing open fire.

In a squad, one player covers the firing lane while another handles a revive. Do not stack everyone at the same exposed body. Solo, plan the retreat before the first shot and stop if the guards have exhausted your recovery supplies. Reports of single-shot downs do not establish a universal armor breakpoint; keep the fight conservative.

Deathstalker activity is also reported around this roof. If aircraft pressure makes the terrace untenable, use substantial overhead cover or retreat inside rather than adding an anti-air fight to a failing boss hunt.

Check the loot and choose the exit

Inspect Roze’s Dog Tag and the actual weapon left behind. A Rare Astaroth .57 is recorded in community loot reporting; a named Kraken reward remains unconfirmed in our catalog. Neither is a guaranteed next-match outcome or a promise of a Blueprint unlock.

The dog tag and ordinary valuables have different consequences. A carried Lieutenant tag can reveal its location, while sale value is not the same as banked cash. Decide whether you have enough armor, ammunition and time to leave before searching every container.

Do not divert to Roze’s High-Rise Armory without its matching key and a separate route plan: that room is in Netshin, not this DBN roof. Use the exfil guide for the exit active in your deployment.

Quick questions

Is Roze’s armory at the rooftop fight?

No. Roze’s High-Rise Armory is a separate keyed destination in Netshin. Do not use its route or key as proof of access to the DBN boss encounter.

Does a Roze kill always award a code segment?

The code segment belongs to the Grid Assault Story Mission. A separate hunt or free-roam kill should not be treated as that mission reward.
