Gorani’s recorded Mujin Pass encounter includes fog and decoys. Identify the actual Lieutenant, confirm the named hunt completes and collect the Dog Tag before leaving. Do not treat every ghillie-suited kill as proof that the boss is down.

Prepare and locate the hunt

Check the current Gorani card at the Boss Board. Read any intel unlock requirements before spending cash. Purchased intel is for one deployment; a Hunt Tower marks the nearest active Lieutenant rather than a guaranteed chosen target.

Bring a controllable rifle, enough ammunition, plates and healing. An optic that helps you read movement through the trees is a practical choice, not a mandatory recipe. Keep a covered retreat and room for the Dog Tag in mind before entering the marked area.

Identify the real target

Original footage shows a wooded Mujin Pass approach with poor visibility and similar-looking figures. Move between cover rather than standing in the road to inspect them. Clear enemies that threaten your flank while watching the actual hunt marker.

Avoid spending your entire magazine on the first matching silhouette. Use the named Gorani hunt as your completion check. The available footage does not establish a universal visual trick that instantly distinguishes every decoy.

Confirm the elimination before looting

  1. Engage from an angle that leaves a route back to cover.
  2. Reposition when incoming fire or the fog makes the current lane unreliable.
  3. Check for the completed Kill Gorani objective instead of relying only on a normal kill popup.
  4. Check the surrounding enemies before approaching the body.

The footage shows an Incisor pickup after the hunt. That is an observed reward, not proof that the same weapon or rarity appears every time. Inspect the current item card; a boss gun and a reusable Weapon Manual are different items.

Extract the tag and keep the key room separate

Collect the named Dog Tag if you want to progress the extraction side of the Boss Board. Carrying a Lieutenant’s case makes your position visible to other Operators, so choose an available exfil and reassess optional detours.

Gorani’s Scout Overlook is a different task with its own key and destination. Do not assume that visiting it triggers this encounter or that the hunt automatically opens the room. Return to the FOB and inspect the board to confirm what the run actually credited.

Quick questions

Does killing a ghillie-suited enemy finish the hunt?

Check the named Gorani objective. The recorded encounter includes decoys; an ordinary kill or similar-looking target is not proof that Gorani was eliminated.

Is Scout Overlook where I must fight him?

Scout Overlook is a separate keyed loot destination. Follow the active hunt marker rather than using the key room as a guaranteed boss spawn.
